Due to limited international flights and challenged delivery services during global Pandemic, International customers may experience delays outside the normal estimates. Bird & Kite is not able to control the delivery time frame once we have dispatched to a 3rd party Courier service.
I live overseas, will I be charged import duties?
All countries have different rules and regulations regarding taxes, duties and customs regulations. Our International Shipping costs ($35 flat rate) do not include any taxes or duties which may be applied by customs at your destination country. These are beyond our control and every country is different. For more information on taxes, duties and customs regulations, we recommend contacting your local customs office directly.
I have had an email saying I need to pay Tax or Duty on my order, what can I do?
Please pay directly your tax and duties to your local tax office. These fees are set by your country, not us.
If the receiver of the package refused to pay taxes and duties, the item(s) will be returned to sender (Bird & Kite) and the order will be refunded, excluding the original shipping fee. Please allow 5 working days for this to be processed once it has arrived into our warehouse for processing.
I just placed my order, how long until it will be shipped out?
Please allow 1-2 days working days for order packing and dispatch of your order.
Who is delivering my package?
Once Bird & Kite has packaged & dispatched your order, we work with 3rd party shipping companies who are able to deliver your package to you wherever you are in the world. Australia Post will deliver all Australian Orders. DHL Express will be responsible for delivering all international packages. If you check your tracking email, it will have the logo of the company responsible for delivering your package to you. If you require further delivery updates, please contact the shipping company directly.
Once items have been shipped they become the property and responsibility of the purchaser. Refunds or replacements will not be given for products that are missing, stolen or damaged in transit. It is the customer's responsibility to liaise with relevant postal service.
How can I track my order?
Once dispatched, you will be sent an email from Bird & Kite with your tracking number and a link to click to track the status of your order and estimated delivery. With this link you are free to track your parcel at your own convenience, at any time using the online tracking service.
I haven't received my package, can you help?
If you are in Australia, please allow 14 working days since your order was dispatched for the delivery of your order
If you are outside of Australia, please allow up to 28 working days for the delivery of your item from the dispatch date.
Alternatively, please contact the shipping provider directly. You can find this on your shipping confirmation email next to your tracking number is the logo of the company responsible for delivering your package to you and they will have the most up to date information for your package. By contacting us directly about your tracking will only take more time (As we are not the shipping company).
We are happy to advise that, for the most part, our delivery lead times have not been affected for domestic orders, and some international orders. Courier services have been doing an amazing job navigating new challenges in the face of limited flights and other Global Pandemic related challenges.
International orders may experience more delays than domestic orders and can take significantly longer to arrive than normal. Bird & Kite is not able to control or have any influence over the progress of your delivery once we have dispatched to a 3rd party courier service.
